CoursePal is an auxiliary academic management and study planning tool created and maintained by Viatcheslav Goloubov. It is designed to assist students and educators in converting course syllabi (PDF documents, scanned physical handouts, or text schedules) into organized weekly schedules, reading milestones, and calendar alerts.
Open CoursePal and tap the + button in the navigation bar or in the Syllabus tab. You can select a digital PDF syllabus document from your iOS Files app or use your camera to photograph a physical paper handout.
CoursePal is designed to process diverse syllabus formats. If any parsed item requires adjustment, you can tap any week, reading, or assignment to edit the title, due date, point weight, or chapter range manually.
Yes. CoursePal includes an offline parsing engine and supports full offline creation, reading tracking, assignment editing, and calendar scheduling without an active internet connection.
When you enable calendar permissions, CoursePal creates native iOS calendar events for assignment deadlines and reading targets. These synchronize across your iCloud-connected Apple devices.
Yes. CoursePal operates under a strict Local-First model. Your private syllabus documents, student notes, and schedules remain stored on your personal device. We do not store or monetize your personal files on central servers.
When a course is created, CoursePal generates a unique share code. Classmates can enter this code in the Invite tab to import the course schedule to their device.
Deleting a course within the app immediately removes all associated records from your local database. Deleting the CoursePal application from your iOS device immediately and irrevocably erases 100% of stored data.

CoursePal operates on-device. When you create courses, track reading progress, add homework tasks, or write study notes, that information is stored directly in your device's local SwiftData database, protected by Apple's hardware-level AES-256 data protection.
