EssentialTimer does NOT collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, usage data, or user content.
Local Storage: All workout routines, session history logs, timer configurations, audio settings, and contraction tracking data are stored strictly locally on your device.
No Remote Servers: EssentialTimer operates completely offline and does not communicate with external servers or databases.
No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use third-party tracking software, advertising SDKs, or analytics tools.
2. Permissions & Device Features
Audio & Media Playback: Used strictly to play voice cues, countdowns, and sound effects during active timer sessions, and to allow seamless audio mixing over background music playback.
Haptic Feedback: Used strictly to provide tactile vibration cues for phase transitions during active workouts.
Photos (Optional): If you select custom background artwork for your workouts, photos are loaded and stored solely on your local device.
3. Right to Erasure & Data Export
In compliance with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure) and Article 20 (Data Portability), you have complete control over your workout logs. You can export a machine-readable JSON copy or permanently delete all data at any time from within the app settings. Learn more on our Data Deletion Instructions page.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
EssentialTimer does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
