No. TrekPal is designed as a 100% offline-first utility. Time zones, phrasebooks, tipping etiquette, and safety guidelines are stored entirely on your device.
When connected to the internet, TrekPal anonymously fetches public foreign exchange rate tables from open.er-api.com and caches them locally for offline travel.
Swipe horizontally on your dashboard to shift target time across all countries. Tap the circular reset arrow in the header to return to current live time.
Tap the speech bubble icon on any country card to hear natural, calm female voice pronunciation across international phrases.
Open the Settings tab in the app and tap "ERASE ALL DATA & RESET". Confirm the prompt to immediately wipe all local preferences, saved cities, and custom notes.
