1. End User License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TrekPal grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Application on Apple-branded products that you own or control for personal, non-commercial reference purposes.

2. 100% Free Utility

TrekPal is provided completely free of charge. There are no paid tiers, hidden subscriptions, paywalls, or fees. You are not required to provide payment information or register an account.

3. Informational Disclaimers & Travel Notice

• Time Zone Calculations: Time zone offsets, daylight saving transitions, and relative time calculations are provided for general scheduling reference. Users should cross-reference critical flight schedules with official carrier itineraries.
• Currency Exchange Rates: Exchange rates retrieved from open.er-api.com and local offline backup tables are indicative mid-market benchmarks. They do not constitute financial advice.
• Safety, Tap Water & Tipping Advice: Safety badges, emergency numbers, and tap water advisories are reference guidelines compiled from public sources and do not supersede official consular or government travel advisories.

4. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use

The Application's user interface design, custom iconography, software algorithms, layout compositions, and brand assets are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You agree not to decompile, reverse engineer, sublicense, or distribute the application without prior authorization.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

TrekPal is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from travel delays, missed flights, or currency fluctuations.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
